Hes awsome
I idolised Stompin Tom , he was a character more so an emblem to Canada. He was the brakeman of Canada. He was a true Son certinally lived what he sang RiP Tom.
brilliant piece...and beloved Canadian group
I worked on industrial maintenance shutdowns over western Canada for 11 years. Every time I drove through Chilliwack I sent my friends a link to this song.
Growing up in these days of year's gone by the best time's compared to today so much wrong today compared to them days. Even vehicle's had class and style
Michael is outstanding. ❤
Great song 🎉
I loved that Canadian gentleman's surname. Same as my own.

It’s really nice to hear the audio. I felt I was transported back in time to 1964 Sudbury!
Eddie should have corn holed Sal on the beach.
"Elwood Glover's Luncheon Date" As I recall, Stompin' Tom got married on that very show a few years later. Folks likened it to Tiny Tim getting married on U.S tv....Not even close in my opinion. Cheers Tom!
!
Good movie
Imagine a film scene like this involving Elvis
Wow what a trip down memory lane!
when a scene is made like this in your life and you or maybe you known a guitar player hey im from '79
What an awesome entertainer!
God Canadians are boring.
This is one best song of the 70s.
I saw Chilliwack perform this live back in 1976, St Louis Mo. They opened for ELO, great show!

I thoight i sucked at singing those lyrics lol
Probably a top liked song of Toms!
Slim Dusty had #1 international hits even Johnny Cash hadn't, so I wouldn't compare Slim Dusty with Stompin' Tom
Both of them were very patriotic about their countries, and wrote songs about the towns and cities of their countries - both were drifters. But yes.... Slim Dusty was better known internationally than Stompin' Tom.
@SteveWallsable It is a little different Tom sang some songs that were actually patriotic while Slim sang some songs that romanticized the australian countryside like Camooweal and Clancy of the Overflow
I played this song on the drums for the first time last night! I never heard of this band until I watched the movie Goon, Lol, looked up the soundtrack for the movie and ordered the CD!!
Is it too late to call????? in 2022
What beach is this?!? Doesn't look like Asbury Park
Newark

What that song in back ground
I’m American. Connors is largely unknown here, but I heard him through an old band mate of mine who used to go play bluegrass up in Ontario. He brought back all these fantastic Stompin’ Tom albums for me, telling me that I’d love it. Soon I found myself downloading everything I could find of his. I’m a little sad that I didn’t discover him until 2014, the year after he died. I would have loved to go up north to see him play live, but at least all the music he left behind will never leave us. I absolutely love that man’s music, he was incredible. I’m a folkie and he is probably one of my favourite singer-songwriters of all time, no question. Wish he’d been more appreciated down our way, because he really was special. His songs really made you fall in love with Canada and want to be a part of it.
Did they make love in the next scene after this scene ends?
I need to put it back on print full movie
I have to say that for many years this song remained unsignifact to me and now it's sound of FREE CANADA.
I gotta talk to you Sal! Shut up!!!
Thank you for sharing! True canadian gems !
